·But they were broken off because of unbelief : 저희는 믿지 아니하므로 꺾이우고

▶중요한 단어, 숙어
grant 허락하다,승인하다,주다,수여하다,허가,인가. because of unbelief : 믿지 아니하므로. were broken off : 꺽여지다,부러지다. arrogant 거만한,오만한,건방진. be afraid of 두려워하다.

믿는 자는 믿지 않는 자에 대하여 교만치 말라는 것이다. 또한 구원받은 이방인은 탈락한 유대인을 향하여 자긍하지 말아야 한다. 가지가 뿌리를 유지하는 것이 아니라 뿌리가 가지를 유지하기 때문이다. 혹시 자랑함으로써 넘어져 버림을 받을까 두려워하라는 말씀이다.

고린도전서 10:12
12 그런즉 선 줄로 생각하는 자는 넘어질까 조심하라
12.So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!

예레미야 44:9-12
9 너희가 유다 땅과 예루살렘 거리에서 행한 너희 열조의 악과 유다 왕들의 악과 왕비들의 악과 너희의 악과 너희 아내들의 악을 잊었느냐
10 그들이 오늘까지 겸비치 아니하며 두려워하지도 아니하고 내가 너희와 너희 열조 앞에 세운 나의 법과 나의 율례를 준행치 아니하느니라
11 그러므로 나 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라 보라 내가 얼굴을 너희에게로 향하여 재앙을 내리고 온 유다를 끊어 버릴 것이며
12 내가 또 애굽 땅에 우거하기로 고집하고 그리로 들어간 유다의 남은 자들을 취하리니 그들이 다 멸망하여 애굽 땅에서 엎드러질 것이라 그들이 칼과 기근에 망하되 작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 칼과 기근에 죽어서 가증함과 놀램과 저주와 모욕거리가 되리라

9.Have you forgotten the wickedness committed by your fathers and by the kings and queens of Judah and the wickedness committed by you and your wives in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem?
10.To this day they have not humbled themselves or shown reverence, nor have they followed my law and the decrees I set before you and your fathers.
11."Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am determined to bring disaster on you and to destroy all Judah.
12.I will take away the remnant of Judah who were determined to go to Egypt to settle there. They will all perish in Egypt; they will fall by the sword or die from famine. From the least to the greatest, they will die by sword or famine. They will become an object of cursing and horror, of condemnation and reproach.

옳도다 저희는 믿지 아니하므로 꺾이우고 너는 믿으므로 섰느니라 높은 마음을 품지 말고 도리어 두려워하라

21.For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

he will not spare you either. : not~either : 어느 것도 아니다.
: 그(하나님)가 너희 어느 누구도 아끼지 않을 것이다, 죄를 용서하지 않을 것이다.

유대인 열두 지파들은 “원가지, 본래의 가지들”이었다. 그런데도 하나님께서는 그 “원가지”들을 아끼지 않고 꺾어셨다. 그들이 믿지 않았기 때문이다. 그런데 하물며 “본래의 가지들”이 아닌 “접붙여진 가지들”, 즉 이방인들이야 더 말해서 무엇하랴? 하나님께서는 이방인들이 자신들에게 주어진 기회를 잡지 않으면 그들 또한 가차없이 꺾어 버리실 것이다.

신명기 32:31-35
31 대적의 반석이 우리의 반석과 같지 못하니 대적도 스스로 판단하도다
32 그들의 포도나무는 소돔의 포도나무요 고모라의 밭의 소산이라 그들의 포도는 쓸개포도니 그 송이는 쓰며
33 그들의 포도주는 뱀의 독이요 독사의 악독이라
34 이것이 내게 쌓이고 내 곳간에 봉하여 있지 아니한가
35 보수는 내 것이라 그들의 실족할 그 때에 갚으리로다 그들의 환난의 날이 가까우니 당할 그 일이 속히 임하리로다

31.For their rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.
32.Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are filled with poison, and their clusters with bitterness.
33.Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras.
34."Have I not kept this in reserve and sealed it in my vaults?
35.It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them."

미가 5:10-15
10 여호와께서 가라사대 그 날에 이르러는 내가 너의 말을 너의 중에서 멸절하며 너의 병거를 훼파하며
11 너의 땅의 성읍들을 멸하며 너의 모든 견고한 성을 무너뜨릴 것이며
12 내가 또 복술을 너의 손에서 끊으리니 네게 다시는 점장이가 없게 될 것이며
13 내가 너의 새긴 우상과 주상을 너의 중에서 멸절하리니 네가 네 손으로 만든 것을 다시는 섬기지 아니하리라
14 내가 또 너의 아세라 목상을 너의 중에서 빼어 버리고 너의 성읍들을 멸할 것이며
15 내가 또 진노와 분한으로 청종치 아니한 나라에 갚으리라 하셨느니라

10."In that day," declares the LORD, "I will destroy your horses from among you and demolish your chariots.
11.I will destroy the cities of your land and tear down all your strongholds.
12.I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells.
13.I will destroy your carved images and your sacred stones from among you; you will no longer bow down to the work of your hands.
14.I will uproot from among you your Asherah poles and demolish your cities.
15.I will take vengeance in anger and wrath upon the nations that have not obeyed me."
