▶중요한 단어, 숙어
boast over ~에 대하여 자랑하다. If you do, : 자긍할지라도 : If you boast over those branches. consider 생각하다.
consider this : 이것을 생각하라. 뒷 문장 내용을 ‘생각하라’는 말. support 지지,후원,지탱하다.
“그 가지들을 향하여 자긍하지 말라” 는 것은 곧 이스라엘에 대하여 자랑하지 말라는 말이다. 왜냐하면, 참감람나무에 접붙여진 이방인 가지가 그 나무의 뿌리를 지탱하는 것이 아니라 뿌리가 그 가지를 지탱하기 때문이다. “뿌리”는 물론 이스라엘을 말한다. 그러므로 하나님께서는 유대인에게서 손을 떼셨다고 주장하며 이방인들이 뽐내고 우쭐대다가는 큰코다친다.
이것은 역사적으로도 증명된 사실이다. 하나님께서 유대인들과의 관계를 영원히 단절하시고, 이제는 이방인들이 유대인들이 누리던 자리를 앉게 되었다고 주장하고 우쭐대며 유대인을 천대하고 괴롭히던 이방인 민족이 번연을 누리는 예는 일찍이 없었다.
요한복음 4:21-24
21 예수께서 가라사대 `여자여, 내말을 믿으라 ! 이 산에서도 말고 예루살렘에서도 말고 너희가 아버지께 예배할 때가 이르리라
22 너희는 알지 못하는 것을 예배하고 우리는 아는 것을 예배하노니 이는 구원이 유대인에게서 남이니라
23 아버지께 참으로 예배하는 자들은 신령과 진정으로 예배할 때가 오나니 곧 이 때라 아버지께서는 이렇게 자기에게 예배하는 자들을 찾으시느니라
24 하나님은 영이시니 예배하는 자가 신령과 진정으로 예배할지니라'
21.Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
22.You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
23.Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
24.God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

에베소서 2:11-13
11 그러므로 생각하라 ! 너희는 그 때에 육체로 이방인이요 손으로 육체에 행한 할례당이라 칭하는 자들에게 무할례당이라 칭함을 받는 자들이라
12 그 때에 너희는 그리스도 밖에 있었고 이스라엘 나라 밖의 사람이라 약속의 언약들에 대하여 외인(外人)이요 세상에서 소망이 없고 하나님도 없는 자이더니
13 이제는 전에 멀리 있던 너희가 그리스도 예수 안에서 그리스도의 피로 가까와졌느니라 11.Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called "uncircumcised" by those who call themselves "the circumcision" (that done in the body by the hands of men)--
12.remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
13.But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

그 가지들을 향하여 자긍하지말라 자긍할지라도 네가 뿌리를 보전하는 것이 아니요 뿌리가 너를 보전하는 것이니라

19.You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in."

·"Branches were broken off : 가지들이 꺾이운 것은
·so that I could be grafted in." : 나로 접붙임을 받게 하려함이라 하리니

▶중요한 단어, 숙어
so that~could : ~가 할 수 있도록. graft in 접붙이다,이식하다.

유대인들은 믿지 않는 바람에 꺽여졌다. 그리고 이방인들은 믿었기 때문에 설 수 있는 기회를 잡을 수 있었던 것이다. 그렇기 때문에 이방인들은 자만하지 말고 도리어 두려운 마음으로 겸손해야 한다.
이방인 민족이 믿음을 버리면 이스라엘 민족이 그랬듯이 꺾이고 말 것이다. 이것은 개인이 구원을 상실하게 된다는 뜻과는 거리가 멀다. 이방인 민족이 하나님의 말씀을 무시하고 버리면 멸망을 면치 못할 것이다.

호세아 9:15-17
15 저희의 모든 악이 길갈에 있으므로 내가 거기서 저희를 미워하였노라 그 행위가 악하므로 내 집에서 쫓아내고 다시는 사랑하지 아니하리라 그 방백들은 다 패역한 자니라
16 에브라임이 침을 입고 그 뿌리가 말라 과실을 맺지 못하나니 비록 아이를 낳을지라도 내가 그 사랑하는 태의 열매를 죽이리라
17 저희가 듣지 아니하므로 내 하나님이 저희를 버리시리니 저희가 열국 가운데 유리하는 자가 되리라
15."Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal, I hated them there. Because of their sinful deeds, I will drive them out of my house. I will no longer love them; all their leaders are rebellious.
16.Ephraim is blighted, their root is withered, they yield no fruit. Even if they bear children, I will slay their cherished offspring."
17.My God will reject them because they have not obeyed him; they will be wanderers among the nations.

마태복음 21:42,43
42 예수께서 가라사대 너희가 성경에 건축자들의 버린 돌이 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되었나니 이것은 주로 말미암아 된 것이요 우리 눈에 기이하도다 함을 읽어 본 일이 없느냐
43 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 하나님의 나라를 너희는 빼앗기고 그 나라의 열매 맺는 백성이 받으리라
42.Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: "'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?
43."Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

누가복음 20;14-16
14 농부들이 그를 보고 서로 의논하여 가로되 이는 상속자니 죽이고 그 유업을 우리의 것으로 만들자 하고
15 포도원 밖에 내어 쫓아 죽였느니라 그런즉 포도원 주인이 이 사람들을 어떻게 하겠느뇨 ?
16 와서 그 농부들을 진멸하고 포도원을 다른 사람들에게 주리라 하시니 사람들이 듣고 가로되 그렇게 되지 말아지이다 하거늘
14."But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over. 'This is the heir,' they said. 'Let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.'
15.So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. "What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
16.He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others." When the people heard this, they said, "May this never be!"
