patriarch 조상,족장,장로. As well as having many privileges, the patriarch of each family unit has many responsibilities. : 각 가족 단위의 가장들은 많은 특권을 가지고 있는 것만큼이나 많은 책임 또한 지니고 있다.

아브라함과 이삭과 야곱은 이스라엘의 조상들이다. 인간적 관점으로 보면 마리아에게서 나셨으므로 그리스도께서는 육신적으로는 유대인에게서 나셨다. “저는 만물 위에 계셔 세세에 찬양을 받으실 하나님이시니라 아멘” 이 구절은 예수 그리스도의 신성을 선포하는 위대한 구절 가운데 하나다. 그리스도께서는 영원히 송축 받으실 하나님이시다.

골로새서 1:15-17
15 그는 보이지 아니하시는 하나님의 형상이요 모든 창조물보다 먼저 나신 자니
16 만물이 그에게 창조되되 하늘과 땅에서 보이는 것들과 보이지 않는 것들과 혹은 보좌들이나 주관들이나 정사들이나 권세들이나 만물이 다 그로 말미암고 그를 위하여 창조되었고

요한복음 1:1-4
1 태초에 말씀이 계시니라 이 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니 이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시니라
2 그가 태초에 하나님과 함께 계셨고
3 만물이 그로 말미암아 지은 바 되었으니 지은 것이 하나도 그가 없이는 된 것이 없느니라
4 그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라
1.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

not all are Israel : 모든 사람이 이스라엘은 아니다.(부분부정)
not all who are descended from Israel : 이스라엘에게서 난 모든 자가 아니다.

이 구절은 이스라엘에서 난 사람, 즉 유대인이 모두 버림받은 바 된 것은 아님을 말한다. 반면에 “또 이스라엘에게서 난 그들이 다 이스라엘이 아니요” 라는 서술이 말하듯 육신적 혈통으로 유대인에 속하는 자들이 모두가 믿는 자들인 것은 아니라는 것이다. 결론적으로, 이스라엘이라고 해서 “다” 이스라엘이 아니고, 이스라엘이 버림받았다고 해서 “다” 버림받은 것도 아니라는 것이다.

열왕기상 8:56
56 여호와를 찬송할지로다 ! 저가 무릇 허하신 대로 그 백성 이스라엘에게 태평을 주셨으니 그 종 모세를 빙자하여 무릇 허하신 그 선한 말씀이 하나도 이루지 않음이 없도다
56."Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

에스겔 12:25
