내 몸의 구성 요소는 영,육,혼으로 되어 있다. 육이 지배하고 있는 생각은 타락과 죄의 생각으로 가득차 있다. 따라서 육신의 생각은 사망으로 결론이 난다. 그러나 하나님은 영이시니 따라서 영은 하나님께로 받은 것이다. 그 영의 생각은 생명과 평인이다. 사람이 죽으면 영은 하나님께로 돌아간다. 육신과 영혼의 분리가 죽음이다.

골로새서 2:16-19절
16 그러므로 먹고 마시는 것과 절기나 월삭이나 안식일을 인하여 누구든지 너희를 평론하지 못하게 하라
17 이것들은 장래 일의 그림자이나 몸은 그리스도의 것이니라
18 누구든지 일부러 겸손함과 천사 숭배함을 인하여 너희 상을 빼앗지 못하게 하라 저가 그 본 것을 의지하여 그 육체의 마음을 좇아 헛되이 과장하고
19 머리를 붙들지 아니하는지라 온 몸이 머리로 말미암아 마디와 힘줄로 공급함을 얻고 연합하여 하나님이 자라게 하심으로 자라느니라

16.Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.
17.These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
18.Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions.
19.He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

“육신의 생각”이란 중생하지 못한 자연인의 생각을 말한다. 이것은 하나님을 따르는 생각이 아니므로 하나님과 원수가 된다. 이런 생각으로는 하나님의 법에 복종하지도 복종할 수도 없다. 구원받지 못한 사람이 이렇다.

야고보서 4:4절
4 간음하는 여자들이여 ! 세상에 벗된 것이 하나님의 원수임을 알지 못하느뇨 그런즉 누구든지 세상과 벗이 되고자 하는 자는 스스로 하나님과 원수되게 하는 것이니라
4.You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

고린도전서 2:14절
14 육에 속한 사람은 하나님의 성령의 일을 받지 아니하나니 저희에게는 미련하게 보임이요 또 깨닫지도 못하나니 이런 일은 영적으로라야 분변함이니라
14.The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
