◎마태복음 18장 12~20절(Matthew 18:12~20)

“'What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. 'If your brother sins against you,go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.' If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. 'I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will bebound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 'Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.'” (NIV)

“너희 생각에는 어떠하냐 만일 어떤 사람이 양 백 마리가 있는데 그 중의 하나가 길을 잃었으면 그 아흔아홉 마리를 산에 두고 가서 길 잃은 양을 찾지 않겠느냐 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 찾으면 길을 잃지 아니한 아흔아홉 마리보다 이것을 더 기뻐하리라 이와 같이 이 작은 자 중의 하나라도 잃는 것은 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 뜻이 아니니라 네 형제가 죄를 범하거든 가서 너와 그 사람과만 상대하여 권고하라 만일 들으면 네가 네 형제를 얻은 것이요 만일 듣지 않거든 한두 사람을 데리고 가서 두세 증인의 입으로 말마다 확증하게 하라 만일 그들의 말도 듣지 않거든 교회에 말하고 교회의 말도 듣지 않거든 이방인과 세리와 같이 여기라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 무엇이든지 너희가 땅에서 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요 무엇이든지 땅에서 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라 진실로 다시 너희에게 이르노니 너희 중의 두 사람이 땅에서 합심하여 무엇이든지 구하면 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서 그들을 위하여 이루게 하시리라 두세 사람이 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는 나도 그들 중에 있느니라”(개역개정)

What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep: 너희 생각에는 어떠하냐 만일 어떤 사람이 양 백 마리가 있는데
and one of them wanders away: 그 중의 하나가 길을 잃었으면
will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills: 그 아흔아홉 마리를 산에 두고 가서
and go to look for the one that wandered off?: 길 잃은 양을 찾지 않겠느냐?
And if he finds it: 만일 찾으면
I tell you the truth: 진실로 너희에게 이르노니
he is happier about that one sheep: 이것을 더 기뻐하리라
than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off: 길을 잃지 아니한 아흔아홉 마리보다
In the same way your Father in heaven: 이와 같이 이 작은 자 중의 하나라도 잃는 것은
is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost: 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 뜻이 아니니라
If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault: 네 형제가 죄를 범하거든 가서
just between the two of you: 너와 그 사람과만 상대하여 권고하라
If he listens to you: 만일 들으면
you have won your brother over: 네가 네 형제를 얻은 것이요
But if he will not listen, take one or two others along: 만일 듣지 않거든 한두 사람을 데리고 가서
so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses: 두세 증인의 입으로 말마다 확증하게 하라
If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church: 만일 듣지 않거든 교회에 말하고
and if he refuses to listen even to the church:교회의 말도 듣지 않거든
treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector: 이방인과 세리같이 여기라
'I tell you the truth: 진실로 너희에게 이르노니
whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven: 무엇이든지 너희가 땅에서 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요
and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven: 무엇이든지 땅에서 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for: 진실로 다시 너희에게 이르노니 너희 중의 두 사람이 땅에서 합심하여 무엇이든지 구하면
it will be done for you by my Father in heaven: 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서 그들을 위하여 이루게 하시리라
For where two or three come together in my name: 두세 사람이 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는
there am I with them: 나도 그들 중에 있느니라
