“As Johns disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: "What did you go out into the desert to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings palaces. Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: "`I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you. I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.” (NIV)

What did you go out into the desert to see?: 너희가 무엇을 보려고 광야에 나갔더냐
A reed swayed by the wind?: 바람에 흔들리는 갈대냐
If not, what did you go out to see?: 그러면 너희가 무엇을 보려고 나갔더냐
A man dressed in fine clothes?: 부드러운 옷 입은 사람이냐
No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings palaces: 부드러운 옷을 입은 사람들은 왕궁에 있느니라
Then what did you go out to see? A prophet?: 그러면 너희가 어찌하여 나갔더냐 선지자를 보기 위함이었더냐
Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet: 옳다 내가 너희에게 이르노니 선지자보다 더 나은 자니라

yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he: 그러나 천국에서는 극히 작은 자라도 그보다 크니라
From the days of John the Baptist until now: 세례 요한의 때부터 지금까지
the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing: 천국은 침노를 당하나니
and forceful men lay hold of it: 침노하는 자는 빼앗느니라
