◎마태복음 9장 16~17절(Matthew 9:16~17)
“No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new winskins, and both are preserved.” (NIV)
“생베 조각을 낡은 옷에 붙이는 자가 없나니 이는 가운 것이 그 옷을 당기어 해어짐이 더하게 됨이요 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣지 아니하나니 그렇게 하면 부대가 터져 포도주도 쏟아지고 부대도 버리게 됨이라 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야 둘이 보전되느니라” (개역개정)
No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment: 생베 조각을 낡은 옷에 붙이는 자가 없나니

Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins: 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣지 아니하나니

the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined: 포도주도 쏟아지고 부대도 버리게 됨이라
they pour new wine into new winskins: 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야
and both are preserved: 둘이 보전되느니라
